Tecno L9 is successor to the Tecno L8 and latest in the Power packed Tecno L series . The Tecno L9 is more or less a compact variant of the Tecno L9 Plus with a more compact design and smaller display .

Tecno L9 been a member of the Tecno L series comes with a huge 4500mAh battery – a 500mAh  short of the Tecno L9 plus , but that is good enough to compensate for the drop in price of the Tecno L9 .

Aside a drop in the Tecno L9 battery capacity , the Tecno L9 camera has dropped from 13MP and 8MP to 5MP and 2MP rear and front camera respectively . The Tecno L9 rear camera much like the L9 plus camera has LED flash while the front camera is optimized for video calls , but still without flash .

The Tecno L9 offers a smaller screen compared to the Tecno L9 Plus. This time around, you have a 5.0-inch IPS display , but resolutions still remains at 1080 x 1920 pixels.

Tecno L9 runs Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) on a 1.13GHz Quad-core Mediatek processor with 2GB RAM & 16GB built-in storage expandable up to 32GB using Micro SD slot .

Like the Tecno L9 Plus , the Tecno L9 comes with a rear fingerprint sensor, which should mean tighter security and better selfie experience. Connectivity options on the Tecno L9 include ; Bluetooth 4.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0, and 3G .
The Tecno L9 and the Tecno L9 Plus lacks the 4G connectivity option , that should be reserved for the upcoming Tecno Phantom 7 ,Tecno Boom J9 and Tecno Camon 10 / Camon C10 and Camon C10 Plus .
